Drop Lame Limiting Excuses from your Challenge ...and CHANGE!
Anyone who cares about wanting to turn an adversity into an advantage, have challenges turn them into champions, and start playing the victor, not the victim in life, will have much to take away from riding with the author, Jai Narayan as he takes the reader on a roller coaster, autobiographical journey of peaks and pitfalls, tragedy and triumph, describing the challenges he had to cope with, due to the onset of progressive vision loss at a young age.
The author was a passionate painter, illustrator, photographer, architect, designer, and visual communicator, until an incurable genetic disorder, left him legally blind and slowly robbing him of his passions.
Titled, CHALLENGE! - Drop Lame Limiting Excuses from your challenge...and CHANGE, this book will appeal to those who are trying to cope with change in their personal and professional life - practically everyone! It is especially relevant in the turbulent and fast-changing times we live in today.
Each chapter in the book offers an interesting, often humorous, peek into the author & life through his childhood, growing up and professional life. The lessons learned by the author in dealing with unexpected challenges are lucidly narrated, with an "A-ha" takeaway for the reader, at the end of each chapter.
This book encourages children to be creative – Read, write, draw, paint, sketch and…dream!
“The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn, the bird waits in the egg, and in the highest vision of the soul, a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities.”
- James Allen (Philosophical writer, poet)
While the four-line verses contained in this book are primarily informative and educative, they also contain childlike imagery and fantasy in part. Moreover, the four-line verses predominantly follow an 'AC-BD' rhyme pattern,
with a few 'AB-CD' or 'BD' sequences thrown in for variety. This is to encourage children to be flexible in writing, explore possibilities and not be fixated with rigid ideas in creative writing.
